Video discharge instructions provide a clear and concise message and can potentially alleviate factors which have an impact on comprehension of caregivers like illiteracy, communication barriers and limited physician time. Conclusions: When compared to written discharge instructions alone, the addition of short, clear, and concise video discharge instructions improved caregiver’s understanding and satisfaction following discharge.
