Abstract
Objective: The study aims to reveal the most common heart diseases found among the below-the-poverty-line (BPL) population in Karnataka State (South India) using SAST data. Conclusion: Poverty, material deprivation, social exclusion, health disparity, and poor social cohesion throughout the life course among the BPL community are the key reasons for poor cardiac care and related outcomes.
